The Technical Consultant is a hybrid technical/business analyst that will become highly knowledgeable about CubeLogic’s products and services so that they can assist clients in making the best use of the investment they have made in our software. These clients are typically in the Energy, Commodities, and Financial Services sectors.

They must possess skills in organization, technology, and problem solving so that they can coordinate with customers to successfully deliver project requirements. You will review and prepare documentation, presentations, communication, and business meetings on the capabilities and functions of the CubeLogic application to the customer. You will work most often in a customer’s offices and work normal business hours.

The responsibilities of a Technical Consultant include:

  • Conduct activities in aid of successfully completing project tasks
  • Report on daily responsibilities and tasks
  • Resolve client issues
  • Testing software products and applications
  • Documenting processes and software system instructions
  • Supporting and troubleshooting software issues
  • Attending meetings, sessions and other company events
  • Generating innovate ideas

Desired Skills:

  • Microsoft BI technology stack (SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS)
  • Strong SQL skills are a must
  • Some background in energy/risk would be ideal, but is not required
  • Personable with good communication skills
  • Problem solving
  • Self-motivation
  • Willingness to travel


  • BSc or similar in a STEM field

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and dedicated team servicing some of the largest blue chip energy and commodities trading companies in the world. You will start out as a support analyst, where you will learn about the CubeLogic products and how our clients use them. The role requires excellent communication skills, an ability to adapt and learn on the job, coupled with a solid technical background. CubeLogic clients are located across the global and the candidate must demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving. The role is primarily located in our London office but will involve communication with other Cube offices. The role offers candidates future career opportunities to move into our business consulting group with opportunities to travel for client projects globally.

The right candidate will have a good technical degree (ideally Computer Science), be a nature problem solver, a fast learner and have a desire to travel and work directly with clients. In return, you’ll be working in a leading edge, start-up technology company located in central London. You will learn the latest business intelligence technologies and how they are leveraged to solve complex risk and data insight problems for trading companies globally.
